Chatwood Safe Company was one of three safe manufacturers that formed the entire British vault & safe trade at the turn of the century. Chatwood was the first to produce a bank night deposit safe, for Midland Bank from 1930. Chatwood went on to be Sold to Hall Engineering in 1956, then Chubb & Son Lock and Safe Company in 1959.
