3D Scanning
3D Scanning of original heritage components aids the replication process
3D Scanning is utilised as a part of our reverse engineering process and is a method used to scan original components to generate a digital 3D mesh model.
This data is primarily used to compare the original scanned part to the newly generated digital model that is prepared by our skilled technical design engineers in preparation for forging die design and simulation.
Any deviation from the original sample is easily identified and can be rectified before proceeding to the next, more costly, stage of production.
