The namesake of company founder Albert John Stevens. AJS was a Wolverhampton based motorcycle manufacturer. Producing motorcycles between 1910 and 1945 until being wound up and Sold to Matchless/AMC, who continued to produce new badge-engineered models until AMC failed in 1966.
