Alvis was a Coventry based car and engineering company that produced vehicles between 1919 and 1967, the company also produced Aero Engines and Armoured military vehicles, adding divisions for both in 1936, which went on to become Alvis Mechanisations.
The brand was incorporated into Leyland in 1967 and is now part of BAE Systems
