Archive Drawings from 1920 to 1927
Founded in 1900, Phoenix was a small outfit producing very early iterations of the motor car. Starting with bicycles, the company began to offer a 'forecar' attachment, which would replace the front wheel of a bicycle with a Minerva Engine supported by 2 wheels with a central seat called the 'trimo'.
Although popular and well-made, Phoenix would struggle to scale production and remain competitive in the industry, with the last Phoenix being made in 1928.
