Joseph Sankey & Sons LTD
General Engineers
Archive Drawings from 1948 to 1953
Joseph Sankey was established in 1921 as a general manufacturer of a wide range of metal goods. The name was synonymous with domestic hollowware through their Sankey-Sheldon partnership and their Sphinx Brand, as well as steel office furniture and vending machines. But the company's range was much wider than that.
Sankey would, unfortunately, fall victim to the manufacturing industry collapse of the 1980s and would slowly be sold by division until the company was officially wound down in 2004.
