The James Cycle Company was founded in 1897 and based in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. Initially producing Penny Farthings they also made bicycles and by 1902 their first motorcycle was released.
James Cycles was well-received in the market with their range featuring many lightweight and economical two-stroke models alongside larger four-stroke V-Twins. James is also well known for supporting the war effort with special lightweight models supplied to the British Army.
