Archive Drawings from 1919 to 1950
Originally founded in 1902 in the USA as the merged entity of Virginia-based McCormick Harvester Machine Co. and Deering Harvester Co. of Plato Illinois. The company would establish a UK office in 1906 and incorporate a public company in 1946. The company would try to expand into buses, cars, and light-duty trucks in the post-war period to mixed success. The company's assets would be merged into J.I. Case in 1985, with the remaining company being renamed 'Navistar International'. Which is still trading today and selling commercial vehicles under the 'International' brand.
