Archive Drawings from 1920 to 1934
Founded in 1871 by brothers George and James Weir, the company specialises in pumping equipment and auxiliary feeds for steam boilers. Both brothers developed and patented numerous groundbreaking inventions in pumping equipment.
The company would pause during the war years to produce small and large munitions under the name W.D. Weir. The company has since been sold in divisions, although the group still trades using the Weir name.
