Burman and Sons were a manufacturer of Gearboxes and Steering Gears based in Kings Norton, Birmingham. Starting as a producer of Clippers and Sheer Shearers, the company took on production of the gearbox for the Ariel Square in 1930, and by 1965 was supplying 40% of the total steering units required by the British Motor Trade.
