Forged Components For the Morris Motors Limited ISIS Six JA
The W.H.Tildesley archive holds customer records for many heritage car brands dating back to 1918. Morris Motors Limited is one of WHT’s largest historic automotive customers with us producing forged components from 1919 up until the late 1950s.
In July 1929, Morris Motors Limited launched the Morris Isis Six. This model was a revised version of the 1927 Morris Six JA. Our extensive archive holds over 70 forged component drawings for the Morris heritage account, some of which have original Morris part numbers starting with the prefix ‘JA’ dated 1929.
Around this time William Morris had also realised the potential of pressed steel bodies and, working with another WHT heritage customer The Pressed Steel Company, they were successfully introduced into Europe with the Isis models.
