Forged Components For Morris Motors T and T2 Type Commercial Lorries
The W.H.Tildesley archive holds customer records for many heritage car brands dating back to 1918. Morris Motors Limited is one of WHT’s largest historic automotive customers with us producing forged components from 1919 up until the late 1950s.
In 1924, shortly after Morris Motors acquired its new factory in Soho, Birmingham, UK, the first commercial ‘T’ Type went into production, and the brand Morris Commercial was born. The early models were constructed using components from existing car-based models, particularly the chassis and running gear.

The drop-forged parts that WHT produced were used for the ‘CE’ model engines found in the T and early T2 commercial lorry vehicles supplied by Morris.
