New Forged Lower Wishbones For The Aston Martin DB4

The Aston Martin DB4 is classed as a grand tourer and produced between 1958 and 1963. The designation ‘DB’ is from Sir David Brown who was the owner of the company from 1947 onwards. Many model variations were produced including the DB4 Convertible, DB4 GT, Vantage, and Vantage GT.

We were approached by our client, an Aston Martin expert and specialist restorer, to produce drop-forged lower wishbones, both left-hand and right-hand variants, for the DB4. The same wishbone forging can also be used for the DB5 and DB6 models. By utilising modern materials and processes, WHT was able to produce a far superior version of the original.

Relatively small batches of 50 pieces were produced, and as low-volume runs are speciality of W.H.Tildesley we were happy to accommodate.

Our client who has invested in 2 sets of forging dies, for left-hand and right-hand variants, has exclusive use.
