New Forged Suspension Components For The Legendary Jaguar D-Type
The Jaguar D-Type is a legendary British-made sports car produced by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1954 and 1957.
The D-Type was designed specifically to win the Le Mans 24-hour race, with its straight 6 engine and innovative monocoque construction that offered advanced aerodynamic capabilities based on principles applied in the aviation sector.
W.H.Tildesley specialises in the replication and production of forged components for the heritage restoration and preservation market and was approached by our client who specialises in early Jaguar models such as the C-Type and D-Type.
Our client required 6 critical forged components for the D-Type suspension system and worked closely with us during the reverse engineering and final forging stage. The components are produced in batches of 25-50 at a time and although this is considered low-volume and not viable by most WHT has the can-do attitude to accommodate these requirements.
