New Forged Stub Axles For The Lagonda Rapier

The Lagonda Rapier was a car produced by the British Lagonda Company that saw a short production run between 1934 and 1935 and again by the Rapier Car Company up until 1938. It is believed, of the original 368 Rapiers produced, that 280 survive worldwide today, enjoyed on the road and the track.

Our client, who specializes in Lagonda Rapier models, approached us to produce new drop-forged stub axles. This initiative aims to meet the ongoing demand for spare parts in the community and support the heritage motorsport sector, where many Rapiers are racing under extreme conditions.

By utilising more modern manufacturing processes, such as grain flow simulation, WHT created a significantly improved drop-forged replacement.

Relatively small batches of 10 - 20 pieces were produced, and as low-volume runs are a specialty of W.H.Tildesley we were happy to accommodate.

Our client who has invested in 2 sets of forging dies, for left-hand and right-hand variants, has exclusive use.

If you require new forged components please reach out to our team who will gladly assist you.
