Forged Components For The Vauxhall 10-4 Saloon
When looking through our extensive archive we discovered several forged components produced for the Vauxhall 10-4, a small family car that was produced between 1937 and 1947. Vauxhall is one of W.H.Tildesleys largest heritage accounts with over 300 components produced for the company between 1931 and 1958.
The Vauxhall 10-4 was in production up until 1940 when it is said that 55,000 had been built, however, due to the Second World War, production was stopped to focus on the production of commercial vehicles in support of the war effort.
Production of the 10-4 restarted in 1946 but for only one year. The war had taken its toll on the economy and pre-war models were now outdated, so 10-4 the model was subsequently withdrawn.
